Building Something Wonderfully Big

Big is sometimes cool. Big is sometimes attractive. That is definitely the case with a popular eGame
called Minecraft. That is a game about building wonderfully big things, but not to neglect small things as well.

Since I have discovered for myself this game called Minecraft I have been in the virtual world
working to build something big: a big village on a remote island. I have built spacious ranch and
eclectic style homes, tall apartment buildings, cabins, amphitheaters, stores, roads, lookout
towers, art galleries, piers, buildings on the sea and on mountain tops and gardens. There is a builder
in all of us I suppose and I am discovering the builder in me. I am in my own world building what I
want to build and using the materials I want to use, whether they may be brick, stone, different kinds of wood, cement blocks or sandstone. I am the builder expressing myself.

Minecraft becomes and extension of our building desire and creativity. No permits, or regulations
invade our liberty to construct something wonderful. We just go in and explore, plan, and build. The
materials are all on the island. Nothing is needed external to this island kingdom.

Big buildings are impressive in our Minecraft worlds, but they don't have to be big. Big is not a
requirement, just a natural human desire. We like big things, don't we? I try to make big fit in with the surrounding ecosystem and in this game, that is easy, easy, easy to do. The materials are there for
us to choose and we can use what is natural to the environment. I have the land, the sea, the raw materials, the tools, the accessories, and the things for the garden. I have what anyone would need to survive, create and flourish on a beautiful land, a land with difference ecosystems and which borders the sea.

Of course, big is not always the best, or what it appears to be. I do like small things too, but in
this game, big is easily accessible. We can be be creators reflecting something bigger than
ourselves. We can create and reveal what we most desire on the land. It is as if we had the
opportunity to carve our a new land, never seen by anyone in the past. Think of the untold
possibilities. Think of what we could do if we were given a kingdom by the sea. Minecraft gives us this ability to be what we really reflect: unlimited creativity. We are the builders and we build big. We build big things vertically and horizontally, and it gets better each time we enter our world, our village. Creation, revelation, buiding, construction, describe what man is about as the idea of the universal law of building upward and outward.
